Really love the bassline. It seems a little overpowering and seems to distort (cause fading) of your other instruments. Like the funk though. Keep up the good work man. Some of those weird melodies remind me of Tom Morello, not an influence of yours is he?

AliMaredia responds:

Thank you! And yes, Tom Morello is one of my favorite musicians.

The bass is a little too overpowering. I agree with you on that.

I like this song a little better than the other in the top Ive listened to. It's a little softer than my style. Your singing isn't bad by any means. Like the drum reverb and the "radio" vocals effect you used, helps add to this. Rock on man.

GreenGeralt77 responds:

Thanks man!

Good song man. Reminds me of some old Rolling Stones or something has a Paint It Black kinda feel to the lyrics. The singing is better than most on here, helps the score a lot. Guitars sound a lil dry, but overall good song. Keep up the good work man.

GreenGeralt77 responds:

Nice! I feel honored to even remind someone of rolling stones. They are amazing. And its cool that you noticed the specific effects and sounds. Definitely shows that you are an experienced musician. Thanks for reviewing man.

Saw this featured and thought I'd see why a voice demo got that honor. I had a Blue Yeti as well (my song I can't breathe (rocked version), the vocals were recorded on the same mic. I agree it is killer. I actually ordered the Yeti Pro originally, but then after they took my money they said it would be 2 more months, so I got almost $100 back and settled for the regular Yeti. Been meaning to check out the Yeti pro and compare the quality, have you heard any samples of it? Anyways, I guess to actually review this, great inflection and great sound quality as to be expected. Keep it up.

Speedo responds:

This was featured? lolwut. yeah, to be honest, I'm not really that picky when it comes microphones, I just wanted one where everything I said could be heard in crystal clear quality, and this one seems to be doing the trick, I don't really see myself upgrading to Yeti Pro anytime soon

Really digging the main riff of that song. The drums were pretty killer (I suck at drum programming haha..really limits me..) but this is a solid track. I may download it and do an improv on it, like you said. Also I am about half way through recording my Nightmare cover....I'll let you know if you want when I get it up. Rock on man.

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks dude! Excellent man; I hope you do it
If so, I can't wait to hear it.
As well as Nightmare!

Hell yeah man. I got to listening to this and realized I had listened to this a while back. Pretty epic. Love the chorus, the drum beat really helps make it with that synchopated end few notes before the turnaround back into your verse melody. What's your setup? Also feel free to check out some of my songs if ya like.

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks man! That's awesome.
Definitely peeping out your tracks as well.
I use alot of different gear depending on the track.

This one, in short, is MetalmachineEZX for drums
Knockoff MM5string into a fender pre, and some vst for bass
modded RG7XXX into engl pre, tube pwr amp, wizard spkr, 609/57 mics and some vst for rhythm
modded s570 for leads.
a crap ton of pedals i made helping along.

I know its vague. Feel free to PM for any clarity

Pretty epic riffage. Love the harmonies. Not sure if you play lead but that's about the only thing that song would need to complete it... Sounds awesome without it. Rock on dude.

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks nunya!
I appreciate it man.

Yeahhhh I am usually all about some leads, so check out some of my others if you want to peep it out.
'Overburn' is probably a good place to start.

Again, THANKS! homie

Nice cover. I especially love your tone, what's your setup?

Metallica1136 responds:

Thanks man! I use FL Studio 10 as my DAW, M-Audio Fast Track Pro as recording hardware, Jackson Warrior guitar, and Guitar Rig 5. I used Big Monster for the rhythm guitar, and 94 Rock Solo for the solo. Thanks for asking my setup! You're the first to do so.

Inspiration from Kill Em All I take it...reminds me a lot of Hit the Lights....great song. I suck at programming drums really limits my song recording....but keep up the good work man, rock on!

Metallica1136 responds:

Hah yeah, man. I wrote this a while back, this was inspired by albums like Kill Em All, and Survive. Metallica and Nuclear Assault albums. Anyways, thanks for your review man! Hit the Lights always has been one of my favorites from Metallica.

I agree about the title

This song had a Mr. Crowley kind of feel to it. Most of the improv was great. There is a few sections where you didn't hit the roots and it sounded...off. But overall great riffage and great appregios. Keep up the great work.

Chthonic-Waves responds:

Well thanks for the feedback. The title?? I had a different title when that review was written. I think this new title fits perfectly.

I'm a man of few words, but if anyone wants to talk I won't turn a deaf ear. If the house ain't a rocking, when you come a knocking, come on in, I must be dead.
